...michael justin

Born on the 12.04.1970 in K├╝nzelsau (Baden W├╝rttemberg / Germany), however, grew up in the north of the country and the most formative time of it in Hamburg, the city that I may and may call to this day as my home.
Since the beginning of the nineties I started to work on my music, but the visual representation of these moments was more than just an enthusiasm and I decided to take photographs as well as occasional work in the field of graphic design.
Not only since that time have my works in the field of music and photography been very closely linked ...
... they support each other, provided new influences or experiments.
Of course, in a sense, I was influenced by the eighties on the sole reason that they were my youth ... and once we are honest, that is pretty much the most important time to set the course, to build characters and later made them complete. ...
... which never saves us from mistakes, but can help to learn from them.
Many of these influences and life experiences are reflected in my work.
No more and no less.

...photography

... is more than collecting light.

"A picture shows more than a thousand words." ... is more than just a traditional proverb.
I do not pretend to be the one who can explain to you what photography actually is.

But I go through our world with open eyes, in search of moments, for motives ... that hold me, inspire and touch me.
And it is exactly these pictures that I then try to capture with the camera, to capture them in a kind of composition of light and shadow.

My pictures are mostly black and white, because this great contrast in pictures has always fascinated me.

Black and white reduces and looks so much stronger and more emotionally due to the resulting contrasts. But I do not want to limit myself, where I often rely on my "first look" here and decide whether I should also use the natural colors, as these show as essential for the effect of the image.
